Turrentine Jackson Professor of Western History, University of California, Davis -- "The Rising of God's Red Son: The 1890 Ghost Dance Gospels and the Crisis of the Arid West" -- The Howard R. Lamar Center for the Study of Frontiers and Borders, The Program in Agrarian Studies at Yale University, and the Yale Group for the Study of Native America is proud to present a talk by Louis Warren. An alumni of Yale University, Professor Warren is the author of The Hunter's Game: Poachers and Conservationists in Twentieth-Century America (Yale University Press, 1997); American Environmental History (Blackwell, 2003); and Buffalo Bill's America: William Cody and the Wild West Show (Knopf, 2005).
