Elizabeth Fenn is an associate professor at the University of Colorado-Boulder. Her books include Pox Americana: The Great Smallpox Epidemic of 1775-82 (Hill and Wang, 2001) and Encounters at the Heart of the World: A History of the Mandan People (Hill and Wang, 2014).
